The only way to get better at tasting coffee is to keep doing it! Compare and contrast coffees and take tons of notes. Write down what you perceive and use those insights to help you down the line.
Ultimately, flavor is SUBJECTIVE so don’t get hung up on what others say, and focus on your own palate development.

A tip on flavor wheels- start from the inside (the broadest categories) and work your way out to more and more specific details. We all start with tasting notes like fruity, sweet, or nutty, but the more your coffee vocabulary expands, the more specific notes you’ll be able to describe!

We hope this helps you on your tasting journey.
