This coffee comes from the Fundación Agraria y Ambiental Para el Desarrollo Sostentible (FUDAM) co-op in La Union, Nariño. FUDAM is a 300-member association of fair trade, organic-certified, and Rainforest Alliance–certified growers that was founded in the year 2000. The foundation was founded by just seven producers who shared a vision of sustainable agriculture as well as environmental protection and development. Now, this 300 member group focuses their efforts on projects that seek to better their local communities through agro-ecology, food safety, and environmental sustainability.
